As a result of the success of the Ericsson Graduate Development Program that was launched last year, Ericsson Egypt (NASDAQ:ERIC) is launching the 2020 edition of the same program that offers talented young people a full-immersion work placement.

The program will offer graduates a chance to join experienced Ericsson staff for on-the-job, online and classroom learning. The components of the program will enable graduates to gain professional project-based knowledge, in a fast-changing ICT sector.

Every participant in Ericsson Egypt’s Graduate Program will benefit from individual support (training and mentoring) throughout the entire program. They will also have a chance to work with cutting-edge technologies, including 5G, Internet of Things, Cloud Technology, Data Centre, Television, and Media and Applications.

Sameh Shoukry, Country Manager for Egypt, Ericsson says: “It is imperative that we invest in recruiting fresh graduates and offer them the potential to build a longer-term career in ICT. Working with Ericsson provides more than the benefits of a graduate program, it empowers our youth with the information and skills to be leaders in the ICT field. With a specialized program designed to boost the technical competence and knowledge of successful candidates – we are looking forward to welcoming a group of new participants to underpin our team.”

Aimed at maximizing graduates’ business skills and equipping them to make an impact on the global stage – Ericsson Egypt’s Graduate Program encapsulates a supportive and collaborative environment. The program provides graduates with the opportunity to diversify their skills, meet new people and utilize their knowledge across various areas of the organization.

The program will start with an immersive induction where graduates will meet Ericsson’s senior executives, before discovering the company’s various operational activities. In addition, participants will work with Ericsson team on live projects, as well as attend training courses and assigned dedicated mentors to provide guidance.

In 2019, more than 125 employees were hired through the Ericsson Egypt Graduate Program. This year the program will offer new hiring opportunities as well as internships for Egyptian graduates.
