Orange offers High-speed Internet in the quarantine building of Ahl Masr foundation in less than 24 hours to help doctors and patients to stay in touch with their friends and families Under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Orange Egypt has effectively participated in “Ahl Masr Foundation” campaign of to provide urgent support to the healthcare system in Egypt supply hospitals with the necessary needs to protect and support medical stuff and infected people in light of COVID 19 pandemic outbreak.
Orange participation in this campaign comes out of its deep sense of social responsibility towards the country and its people amid these critical conditions whereas Orange Group foundation has allocated some of its exceptional funds to Egypt that was directed by Orange Egypt to support different entities the first of which is Ahl Misr Foundation’s building after being rehabilitated to serve as a quarantine hospital in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
Under this partnership, Orange is also providing its sales fleet vans to distribute the preventative medical supplies to different governmental and university hospitals in different governorates that includes Al Qasr El Eini Hospital, El-Demerdash Hospital, Imbaba Fever Hospital, Helwan General Hospital, Menouf Fever Hospital, Suez Fever Hospital, Suez Canal University Hospital, El Sadr General Hospital in Suez and Kafr El Dawar Central Hospital in El Beheira.
And in order to keep doctors, medical staff and patients always in touch with their friends and families safely, Orange managed in less than 24 hours to set up full high-speed internet connectivity to support patients and staff at a new 600-bed quarantine facility in cooperation with Ahl Misr Foundation. Hala Abdel Wadood, Head of Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility at Orange Egypt commented on the initiative saying, "The medical sector in Egypt is bravely fighting a global pandemic that exhausted the healthcare systems around the world but the medical and nursing stuff in Egypt are doing a great job with the testimony of international and local medical reporting, she emphasized.
