Tourism and Communications Ministers: Relying on technological tools to enhance the promotion of tourism abroad

    Recently, Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, held a meeting with Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, to discuss ways of cooperation and discuss work mechanisms between the two ministries during the coming period under the policy of integrating the ministries of Tourism and Antiquities, in the presence of Mrs. / Ghada Shalabi, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs And a number of leaders of the two ministries.

    During the meeting, a number of files were discussed relating to the mechanisms of supplying the necessary infrastructure to improve the level of communications and information technology services within hotels, villages and tourist resorts, in a manner that guarantees the provision of the best services to visitors and tourists with the highest level of quality, efficiency and continuity.

    The works of updating the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities website on the Internet after the merger process were also discussed to make it more attractive and to promote all tourist destinations in Egypt, such as cultural, beach and hospital tourism and other tourist destinations in Egypt.

    The two ministers also agreed to increase the number of archaeological and coastal sites and sites that the browser can visit by default on the website, in addition to the possibility of using modern technologies to promote tourism to Egypt in international tourist and archeological forums and exhibitions such as the use of hologram technology and augmented reality screens to display the product Egyptian tourist in a different and more attractive way.

    During the meeting, Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, indicated that the use of modern technology technologies in international forums and exhibitions will change the shape of the Egyptian pavilion and the promotional style used, which pushes the movement of revitalizing foreign tourism to Egypt, as the tourism sector represents a great importance as a cultural front for Egypt, and also The importance of this sector as one of the most important pillars of the Egyptian economy, by attracting more tourists.

     

    Dr. Amr Talaat indicated that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology is working to build digital Egypt through the implementation of a specific strategy that includes increasing the spread of high-speed internet throughout the Republic, as well as supporting and developing the digital community as a main axis of economic and social development to develop all aspects of services provided to citizens and visitors And tourists, especially with regard to providing all telecommunications services with the fastest speed and the best possible quality, as this reflects the true and civilized face of Egypt among the various countries of the world, which leads to attracting more investments to support the locomotive of development.
