TikTok has announced its partnership with the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority to broadcast the museum's historic opening ceremony live via TikTok LIVE. This will allow audiences in Egypt and around the world to follow the event moment by moment in a live broadcast showcasing the rich history of Egyptian civilization in a modern and innovative way.
The area surrounding the museum is currently witnessing intensive preparations by various government agencies to secure the event and organize the accompanying activities. The opening will be attended by high-level dignitaries, including presidents, princes, and leaders from around the world. This partnership aligns with TikTok's vision to enhance its presence at major cultural events and reinforces its commitment to integrating technology with human heritage, contributing to the creation of inspiring digital experiences that reach a wide global audience. The platform will also launch exclusive creative digital tools, including a special Grand Egyptian Museum filter and virtual gifts inspired by authentic Egyptian symbols such as the scarab beetle, the pyramids, and Ramses II, along with a unique CapCut template inspired by Egypt’s rich history, enabling users to create content that tells Egypt’s story in a modern and engaging way.
