Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly issued a decree appointing Eng. Amr Mohamed Mahfouz Hussein as CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Authority for a year.
It is worth noting that Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, had issued a decision assigning Eng. Amr Mahfouz to carry out the duties of the Authority’s CEO last July, in addition to the decision to assume the position of Assistant Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Development and Development.
Eng. Amr Mahfouz has extensive experience spanning more than 33 years in the field of information technology, especially related to business development using technological applications, providing solutions and consultations in the fields of digital transformation, administrative development, building human cadres and qualifying and creating executive leaders, in addition to his experiences and successes in the development and growth of business in Emerging markets.
Eng. Amr Mahfouz has accumulated practical experience in the field of consulting and business services, as he held many leadership positions in the global company "IBM" during which he developed and built the consulting sector in many countries in the Middle East and Africa.
Eng. Amr Mahfouz also led a team of executives and partners in the region to develop business and implement transformative projects while managing all operational aspects of the business, which contributed to the growth and expansion of the company's business. During his career, Eng. Amr Mahfouz led the consulting services sector in the company’s branch in Egypt, where he led the implementation of large-scale projects in the government, telecommunications and banking sectors.
Eng. Amr Mahfouz also held the position of Executive Director of Communications in the Middle East and Africa at the branch of "IBM" in the Emirate of Dubai, and then Executive Director of the Consulting Services Sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Eng. Amr Mahfouz holds a master's degree in business administration from the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands, and a bachelor's degree in engineering from Cairo University.
