In the midst of the US-China trade war, Indian smartphone giant LAVA
International has been able to expand into the US market by injecting
new products from smartphones and portable technology gadgets,
especially portable health devices
Lava International said it will manufacture handheld devices for GE
Healthcare, which will be shipped to several countries.
The Indian company said: The devices will have a portable ultrasound
system that will help the medical team to diagnose and provide timely
treatment in emergency situations in remote places. Lava International
currently operates in Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico, China, Hong Kong,
Egypt, the Middle East, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
This is Lava's second deal with a US company amid the US-China trade war.
Earlier, the phone company, along with Micromax, received a request of
Rs 2500 crore for the establishment of smartphones for AT&T, Sprint
Corporation and T-Mobil
