Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, hosted The Outlet Avenue from March 31 to April 3, 2021 – an event focused on making top brands in Egypt accessible to the public by providing a discount of up to 75% on off-season collections.

The outdoor exhibition was held at City Centre Maadi, Majid Al Futtaim's first opened property in Egypt, and was in partnership with DHL, Egypt Clothing Bank, Virgin, Glo, Agan and ValU.

The exhibition's opening was attended exclusively by select influencers, before opening its doors to the public, experiencing over 10,000 visitors and over 50,000 transactions during the four days. Participating shops included a variety of stores, from designer accessories and popular fashion brands to evening dresses, sportswear and kids entertainment.

In further efforts to support the surrounding community, and in the spirit of the month of Ramadan, The Outlet Avenue hosted on-ground CSR initiatives, including a booth for the Egypt Clothing Bank, providing visitors with the chance to donate clothes to those in need.

Rasha Azab, Acting Managing Director of West Region Shopping Malls at Majid Al Futtaim — Properties, commented on the event: “At Majid Al Futtaim, both our customers and our tenants are our priorities, which is why we are committed to finding new ways to support both to provide an unmatched shopping experience at our properties.

By hosting this year's edition of The Outlet Avenue, we were able to bring the public's most loved brands all under one roof – and all at discounted prices – while driving additional sales to help stores meet their targets during this challenging year." Omar Madkour, CEO of CFF Agency, added: "The exhibition's main aim is to make fashion accessible by showcasing top brands at reasonable prices.

Our partnership with Majid Al Futtaim enabled us to do so, hosting the event at one of Egypt's earliest shopping destinations. In addition to this, we were pleased with the availability of CSR initiatives on-ground, allowing us to further support the community by driving traffic and awareness to these local organizations.
