Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Network International sign MoU to enhance students’ skills in digital payments

    The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Network International to provide technical training to students and fresh graduates in financial technology (fintech) to encourage the use of electronic payments in Egypt.

    E-payment solutions play a key role in boosting economic growth and increasing financial inclusion and is in line with the country’s efforts to transition to a cashless society.

    The MoU was signed by Dr. Ismail Abdel-Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport and Mr. Hany Fekry, Managing Director – Network International Egypt and Regional President for Northern and Sub-Saharan Africa, at the company's Cairo office.

    Academics, students and senior executives also attended the signing ceremony.

    Under the memorandum, Network International is cooperating with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in all activities and operations that would develop the technical skills and capabilities of its students and fresh graduates through advanced training courses, innovative teaching methods, and courses throughout the summer months. In addition, the agreement includes providing job opportunities forqualified students to give them the chance to join leading technology companies in Egypt to further their skills and experience.

    This collaboration also plays a key role in the country’s efforts of building a Digital Egypt, transforming it into a digital society. By supporting the youth’s digital and technical skills, they will be better prepared to take on the jobs of tomorrow and contribute to the digital economy. P
