Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, met with Ajit Gupti, Ambassador of India to Cairo. During the meeting, they discussed mechanisms for enhancing joint cooperation between Egypt and India in the field of communications and information technology.
The meeting also dealt with a review of the most prominent proposed cooperation projects between Egypt and India in the field of communications and information technology, and a discussion of the ongoing preparations for Dr. Amr Talaat's visit to India next week, which aims to get acquainted closely with the successful Indian experience in the field of communications and information technology, and to discuss ways to strengthen the Egyptian partnership. During the meeting, Dr. Amr Talaat emphasized the strength of the Egyptian-Indian relations at all levels. Expressing his aspiration to advance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of communications and information technology through joint work in implementing various projects; He explained that the Egyptian communications and information technology sector is witnessing continuous growth, as it is the highest growing sector in the country, in light of the implementation of a large number of projects aimed at achieving transformation into an integrated digital society, developing the information technology industry, and localizing the electronics industry
