Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, witnessed the signing ceremony of a number of memorandums of understanding between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and 30 international and local companies specialized in the field of communications and information technology within the framework of implementing the “Egypt Digital Generations” initiatives launched by the Ministry to serve as an umbrella for a number of digital capacity building initiatives presented. Free of charge for young people at different age levels, starting from the fourth grade of primary school up to university students and graduates from various academic backgrounds, to develop their skills in modern specializations in the field of communications and information technology, including artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, embedded systems, digital arts, enterprise resource management, and others, including It keeps pace with the requirements of the local and global labor market.
Egypt's digital generations initiatives are implemented in cooperation with a number of major international universities and local and international companies specialized in the field of communications and information technology. It includes four initiatives: the Digital Baraem Misr Initiative, which aims to qualify and build the technological skills of school students starting from the fourth grade of primary school to the sixth grade of primary school, the Digital Cubs of Egypt Initiative, which aims to develop the skills of outstanding school students in the first grade of middle school until the second grade of secondary school, and the Pioneers of Digital Egypt, which aims to develop technological leadership in modern technologies among university students and graduates from all specializations, and the Builders of Digital Egypt initiative, which aims to hone the skills of outstanding graduates in specific specializations, and training is carried out through two main programs, the Experienced Programme, which is implemented in cooperation with a number of From international universities to grant those enrolled a master’s degree, and the professional program that is implemented in cooperation with global educational platforms and international universities to develop skills in the latest specializations in the field of communications and information technology through an integrated program that includes practical training approved by international and local companies and a program to develop leadership, administrative and linguistic skills.
And in his word; Dr. Amr Talaat confirmed that cooperation between the government, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and its affiliated bodies, with the private sector in Egypt’s digital generations initiatives, is not limited only to logistical cooperation or providing scientific material specialized in training, but also includes the synergy of expertise and minds to implement the goals of the initiatives in shaping the future of generations. Digital Egypt to enable them to build an integrated digital society.
Dr. Amr Talaat pointed out that Egypt’s digital generations initiatives are characterized by many determinants, namely integration, which includes building the capabilities of different ages without being restricted to a specific age stage. It is also characterized by the focus of training courses on specific jobs in line with the requirements of the local and global labor market, in cooperation with the private sector with the aim of Refining young people with an integrated skills matrix to qualify them to compete in a global labor market in which competition is difficult, adding that Egypt’s digital generations initiatives are also characterized by comprehensiveness, as the communications and information technology sector is no longer limited only to graduates of academic specializations in the relevant fields, but has become welcoming to all specializations, allowing graduates Various academic backgrounds. Applying for job opportunities in the sector; The initiatives are also characterized by the integration of skills that all initiatives seek to refine, to include, in addition to technical skills, also the refinement of personal skills required by the labor market.
Dr. Amr Talaat explained that there is a demand to join Egypt’s digital generations initiatives, which represents an incentive to expand the numbers of those enrolled in these initiatives, taking into account not affecting the quality of the training programs and their desired goals.
For her part, Dr. Hoda Baraka, Advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology for developing technological skills, indicated that Egypt’s Digital Generations initiatives are being implemented in cooperation with more than 47 governmental institutions, international universities, international, regional and local companies in the communications and information technology sectors and the banking sector, as well as major international platforms and companies in the field of training. and capacity building.
Dr. Hoda Baraka explained that the training is carried out in the hybrid system, which is a combination of distance education and physical attendance education, in order to achieve sustainability, increase the numbers and ensure the quality of training.
The memorandums of understanding were signed by Engineer Raafat Hendy, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Infrastructure, and representatives of the success partners of Egypt’s Digital Generations initiatives from local and international communications and information technology companies.
