Orange Egypt showcases, in its pavilion at the Egypt International Technology Exhibition and Conference for the Middle East and Africa CairoICT'24, the latest digital transformation solutions through its innovations, projects and technical solutions in the most advanced technological fields during its participation as an official sponsor of the exhibition in its twenty-eighth edition, which will be held from November 17 to 20, 2024 under the auspices of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and in the presence of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
During Cairo ICT’24, visitors to Orange’s pavilion will be able to learn about the “New Administrative Capital Data Center” project, which the company implemented with investments exceeding $135 million. This is its pioneering contribution to the city designed by the Egyptian state to lead the country’s economic and digital transformation as an integrated and sustainable urban city that relies on the latest technologies and fully secured infrastructure, and a center for attracting local and international investments, with areas dedicated to business, government, housing, culture, and entertainment. In addition, visitors to the exhibition will witness live experiences that highlight the advantages of the 5G networks that the company is preparing to launch soon.
Orange Business also reveals a global platform that integrates all smart city management technologies and artificial intelligence with high efficiency by leveraging Orange’s unique strength in the field of communications and technology, and a mix of expertise in the field of basic infrastructure and global strategic partnerships. Visitors to the pavilion will be able to view the platform’s services that provide integrated security to achieve optimal performance for companies and enable them to make the most of artificial intelligence, and obtain positive digital experiences across the customer experience, employee experience, and operations experience axes, and address sustainability challenges, and improve the management of data produced by companies’ businesses and use it to achieve goals efficiently.
It also showcases a unique model for Smart Cities-as-a-Service services, to enhance smart city solutions based on artificial intelligence with a focus on a strong digital infrastructure. The pavilion will witness a simulation of the use of artificial intelligence capabilities in conducting instant and predictive data analyses to ensure automatic decision-making and addressing challenges, contributing to the renaissance of city management and operation, and improving city services such as smart lighting, energy consumption, public safety, waste management and other services.
Visitors to the Orange Egypt pavilion will also have the opportunity to explore the tremendous advantages offered by fifth-generation networks, especially with regard to the high speed of the Internet, through an interactive, realistic experience of a virtual football game using virtual reality (VR) technology. In the sector of social responsibility and supporting youth and entrepreneurs, Orange is showcasing in its pavilion the history of the Orange Digital Center for Development and Innovation (ODC), which has contributed to training thousands of entrepreneurs and supporting the launch of many start-ups in Egypt, along with Orange’s “Fab Lab” labs, which provide a space for creativity with the aim of helping young people from all fields and ages transform their ideas into real products using modern technologies and enabling them to learn about advanced innovation methods and gain direct practical experience in this field.
Establishing the Orange Digital Center for Development and Innovation and “Fab Lab” labs is an essential part of the company’s strategy to enhance economic and societal development by supporting innovation and empowering youth, as this role complements the pioneering initiatives of the Egyptian government that aim to enhance digital transformation and provide promising opportunities for young talents to innovate and build a sustainable future. For his part, Eng. Yasser Shaker, CEO and Managing Director of Orange Egypt, confirmed that Orange's participation in Cairo ICT this year focuses mainly on showcasing the latest solutions and technologies developed by Orange in the fields of artificial intelligence, data centers and smart city management, and highlights the advantages of 5G networks and the huge amount of services and solutions that the network will provide in Egypt once launched.
He added that our participation in the exhibition will also be a source of inspiration for young people and encourage them to enter the field of entrepreneurship based on the advanced programs we offer at the ODC Center and the "Fab Lab" laboratories, and will represent an opportunity to conclude more partnerships that help continue innovation.
