The Rise-Up Summit announced the winners of the first multi-stage regional competition to present ideas, "Pitch by the Pyramids", which was held at the Giza Pyramids on the eighth of December, in conjunction with the Rise-Up Summit 2019. As for the two companies Receet, which is a platform for the application of digital receipts via mobile phone from Ramallah, and CloudSale, a platform for electronic purchases system for small and medium companies from Beirut, they got "VIP" tickets to attend the Dubai Expo 2020 provided by SABB Egypt, in addition to receiving a lease My office for a year in Dubai from the Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZA), while Amjad, which provides electronic services for energy management from Cairo, received a "VIP" ticket to attend the Dubai Expo 2020 presented by SABB Egypt, and 10 other companies received invitations to attend Dubai Expo 2020 All the companies participating in the competition received free purchases $ 2000 worth of Amazon cloud computing services.
The jury included Hassan Haydar, a partner at 500 Startups, Ansi Sawiris, the managing partner H.O.F Capital, Kamran Ilahian, president and co-founder of Global Catalyst Partners, Karim Bishara, co-founder, Accelero Capital, and Hanan Abdel Majeed, founder and chairman of Kamelizer.
Mohamed Jaafar, co-founder of the winning company Yanzo, stated: “We cannot describe our appreciation for the appreciation we received after the great effort that we made, and there is still a long way to go. I would like to thank RiseUp and everyone for giving us this opportunity.”

The competition included those who qualified from 7 cities for start-up companies in different regions in the Middle East and Africa to reach the final event, and the regional partners from each city, which are Cogit Group Workspaces in Tunisia, Wamda in Dubai, Social & Tech in Amman and Ramallah, and Space in Riyadh, and Startup Grind Co. in Beirut, by organizing qualifications for the participating companies, and the best and most innovative companies were chosen to reach the final event that was held in Cairo.
Prior to the final event held today, Sunday, December 8, an expert was appointed to advise all emerging companies that have reached the final stage in their field of work in order to support the growth of those companies during the competition, and the companies participating in the competition presented their ideas to a number of invitees, including companies Capital and investors, in addition to an extensive media presence, which ensured the emergence of the ideas of these companies in the largest number of media outlets for upcoming business activities.
It is worth noting that the activities of the "Rise-Up" Summit were held from 5 to 7 December, and addressed many topics including technology, capital, innovation and growth, and during the three days that the summit was held, it witnessed the attendance of 8200 participants, 290 startups, 200 workshops and 400 Investors and more than 300 speakers.
