From February to April, the Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) in Ukraine and the NGO Women’s League will organise a series of interactive events across the country to celebrate International Women’s Day.
The events will be in the form of coffee talks and will feature success stories from famous Ukrainian women. Participants will also learn about the different opportunities available to women through EU-funded projects, and the EU agenda on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The first event of the series will take place on 29 February in the city of Lviv. The YEAs are then going to Kharkiv (7 March), Odesa (28 March) and Kyiv (4 April).
The ‘Young European Ambassadors’ initiative aims to foster cooperation and sustainable links between young people and youth organisations from the EU and the Eastern partner countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
