The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) organized a webinar titled “Environmental Sustainability and Digital Transformation: Youth Opportunities toward Green Jobs” on September 9, targeting youth and sustainable development enthusiasts.

Discussions covered sustainable development and its goals and dimensions, environmental sustainability and the challenges it faces, and the growing role of the green economy in shaping the jobs of tomorrow. Participants also explored green jobs, the fields they span and the opportunities they offer, along with the green skills employers are increasingly looking for, and how these skills can help young people launch new ventures and stay ahead of a fast-changing labor market.

The session also addressed green entrepreneurship, its characteristics, and its role in supporting sustainable development, as well as green technology and its importance in tackling environmental challenges. It further highlighted how digital transformation can be harnessed to advance environmental sustainability and open new horizons for youth in employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The webinar reflects MCIT's continued commitment to equipping young people with the skills they need for the future, helping strengthen their role in shaping a more sustainable path ahead.
