Cisco is set to showcase its latest innovations designed to help accelerate digitization at the 26th edition of Cairo ICT.

Cairo ICT will be held in Cairo from the 27th to 30th of November 2022, under the theme of ‘Leading Change’. Cisco is a platinum sponsor, demonstrating a range of its latest state-of-the-art solutions designed to help customers connect, secure, and automate to accelerate their digital agility in a cloud-first world.

Ayman Elgohary, the Managing Director of Cisco in Egypt, North Africa and Levant commented, “Through our presence in the Egyptian market since 1999, Cisco has been keen to share its expertise and technology to positively impact economic growth, job creation, and social inclusion. Today, we are proud that Cisco has become a key contributor to the country’s digitization journey, aligning our work with the government’s vision of Digital Egypt 2030.”

“Our participation at Cairo ICT, which is one of the largest technology events in the Middle East and Africa, will not only showcase our latest technologies, but will also highlight Cisco’s commitment to helping accelerate digital transformation across Egypt, Africa, and the region,” he added.

Digital innovations will be brought to life as Cisco demonstrates how customers can:

    ·       Power Hybrid Work: As hybrid work flourishes, at Cairo ICT Cisco will showcase how technology lets people securely connect, collaborate, and innovate from anywhere. Over the past period, Cisco added more than 1,000 new features to its Webex Collaboration platform – intensely improving the Hybrid Work experience.

    ·       Secure Resilience: With cybersecurity becoming one of the most significant issues facing the region today, Cisco will unveil their latest solutions that can provide an integrated experience for securely connecting people and devices everywhere to applications and data anywhere.

    ·       Reimagine Their Applications: Today, services are delivered and consumed through applications. It is how companies build relationships with their customers. The International Data Corporation predicts more than 500 million new applications by 2023. As digital experiences get simpler for consumers, they get more complex for companies.

Organizations require insights into the health of every application and every transaction. Cisco not only connects any user to any application and any cloud, but also offers unique insights and observability from the infrastructure to the application.

    ·       Transform Their Infrastructure: In today’s connected world, the network is the nervous system that allows everything to work together. And while it’s created limitless possibilities, it has also introduced complexity. Cisco will demonstrate the next generation of intelligent networks and how they can enable new possibilities for a sustainable and inclusive future.

Moreover, visitors will learn about Cisco’s contributions to Egypt’s innovation agenda via the Cisco Country Digital Acceleration (CDA) program.

Active in 48 countries globally, CDA is a long-term collaboration of Cisco with national leadership, industry, and academia to actively invest in strategic programs that align to national digitization agendas, to fast-track digital adoption, stimulate job growth, and strengthen competitiveness.

Since the inception of the program in Egypt in 2018, Cisco has completed numerous digitization projects focusing on talent development, smart cities, sustainability, cybersecurity, enhancing digital services for citizens and fostering digital inclusion across sectors like healthcare, education and banking.

In addition, Cisco will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Cisco Networking Academy, one of the longest-standing IT skills-to-jobs program in the world.

In Egypt, to date, more than 232,000 students have been trained and upskilled via Cisco Networking Academy, 33% of which are female.

During Cisco’s 2022 fiscal year alone, more than 55,000 students were enrolled in Cisco Networking Academy courses in Egypt. These learners were supported by 325 instructors, working across 126 academies in the country.
