Announced today at the press conference hosted by the Embassy of Sweden in Cairo, this inaugural week-long series will run from September 26 through October 6 and highlights the strong international partnerships supporting Egypt's innovation ambitions.

The Embassy of Sweden’s support as the venue for today’s announcement underscores the ongoing collaboration between The Swedish Embassy and Techne. Its role as a partner signals an active investment in Egypt’s innovation and entrepreneurial growth. This diplomatic launch reflects the global character of this year’s initiative and the collaborative framework that differentiates Egypt Innovation Week from previous Techne Summit formats.

“Sweden is consistently ranked among the world’s most innovative nations, this year ranking first in the most innovative countries in the EU, and second in the most innovative countries in the World. We are proud to see Swedish companies such as Ericsson, Smart Eye and Söderhub driving advancements in artificial intelligence. Through our collaboration with our partners in Egypt, we aim to support and strengthen Egypt’s growing innovation culture and foster connections to the Swedish innovation landscape. Through this year’s launch of Egypt Innovation Week, consisting of Techne Summit Cairo and Alexandria, we are happy to continue supporting Techne Summit Alexandria, as we do since 2016, with the successful yearly competition, this year focusing on AI. The competition is a perfect platform to foster new ideas, partnerships and solutions that can benefit both our countries.” ~ H.E. Ambassador Dag Juhlin-Dannfelt
