Ai Everything MEA Egypt reflects Egypt’s national agenda to harness AI for economic growth - creating jobs, future industries, and opportunities for a new generation
In a defining milestone for Egypt’s digital transformation and its expanding leadership in the global technology landscape, the inaugural edition of Ai Everything Middle East & Africa (MEA) Egypt will be held under the auspices of His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, reaffirming the strategic importance of AI within Egypt’s economic development roadmap.
Taking place from 11-12 February 2026 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, the event debuts as the first major all-AI expo and summit of the year globally, transforming Cairo into an international platform for shaping the future of responsible AI innovation, investment, and advanced digital governance.
Presented by GITEX, the world’s largest technology and AI events network, Ai Everything MEA Egypt is hosted by Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in partnership with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA). The leadership endorsement reflects Egypt’s ambition to emerge as a global convening force connecting Africa, the Middle East, and international innovation ecosystems, while accelerating the nation’s transition toward an intelligence-driven economy.
The Presidential patronage signals the central role that artificial intelligence plays in Egypt’s strategic priorities, positioning AI as a key lever for economic growth, industrial competitiveness, and human capital development. During his recent participation at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland, President El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to expanding investment opportunities across AI and ICT sectors, while emphasizing the importance of equipping future generations with the skills necessary for the industries of tomorrow.
More than 350 AI enterprises and startups from over 30 countries converge in Cairo, showcasing the latest breakthroughs and real-world applications across critical sectors including public services, smart cities, cybersecurity, fintech, digital payments, future mobility, and business transformation. Notably, many international organisations are marking their first market engagement in Egypt through the event, highlighting the country’s growing role as a regional gateway for AI-driven investment and business expansion.
The summit will convene more than 10 local and international ministers, alongside global councils and leading governing entities, including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) – a multilateral financial institution owned by 77 national governments, and the UAE Cybersecurity Council. The high-level dialogues focus on responsible AI practices, scaling national AI infrastructure, strengthening governance frameworks, and unlocking policy and investment models needed for sustainable AI development worldwide.
As Egypt advances its national digital transformation strategy, Ai Everything MEA Egypt is expected to serve as a landmark moment, positioning Cairo as a hub where the future of AI in Africa and the Middle East will be shaped.
