Fawry, the leading platform for digital transformation and e-payments, has activated payments using bank cards to facilitate delivering all their services to customers through Fawry merchants' network all over Egypt.

The new step launched by Fawry comes within the framework of countries’ transformation policies into a non-cash society, encouraging the digital transformation system, and using bank cards for payments as an alternative to cash. The new service benefits both customers and Fawry merchants, as it allows customers to pay all fawry services -that exceed the 500 services- using their bank cards and paying their purchases from Fawry merchants too. Fawry provides incentives to its merchants encouraging them to use this service as well.

Tamer El-Shamy, Retail Sales Director of Fawry said, "Our new step comes in line with the current state policy to limit cash transactions, especially during the pandemic our country is going through, and also enhances financial inclusion precept to use different e-payment ways as a safe alternative to cash in daily transactions." El-Shamy added that the new service provides access to multiple services from Fawry merchants using all types of payment cards for banks operating in Egypt, whether they are credit or debit cards. It also includes the Egyptian e-payment network cards, in a move aimed at encouraging Fawry outlets, all over Egypt, to accept bank cards transactions in all payment processes and purchases. Worthy mentioning that Fawry, the leading platform for digital transformation and e-payments, serves more than 25 million customers per month, with more than 2.75 million transactions per day for more than 500 services including telecom bills, tickets and tourism, online payments, various utilities, insurance, School and university fees, donations, financial payments and banks, subscriptions and ads, and renewal of car license.
