WH-1000XM4 offers a unique experience, thanks to obtaining SONY’s best noise cancelling technology, reducing high and mid frequency sounds.
The microphones on each earcup works on cancelling noise through the Dual Noise Sensor technology that captures ambient noise and passes the data to a definite HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1. At the same time, BLUETOOTH Audio SoC (System on Chip) gathers data to adjust the music at over 700 times per second. Using Edge-AI, DSEE ExtremeTM works on accurately collecting audio lost during digital compression for a full reliable experience.
Edge-AI technology analyzes the music in real time and recognizes the instruments, music genres and individual elements of each song to restore the high range sounds lost in compression for a richer, more complete listening experience. In order to build an AI system, SONY has worked with Sony Music Studios in Tokyo to gather data on music to reach true insight that contributes into composing specific music signals.
The Adaptive Sound Control on the WH-1000XM4 senses the user’s surroundings and the activity that he is doing, in order to adjust the ambient sound settings. Over time, Adaptive Sound Control learns to identify locations that the user frequently visits, such as the workplace, gym or café, and adjusts sound to suit the surroundings. Also, the user can set up his frequently visited locations and his preferred settings via “Sony | Headphones Connect App”.
