    Telecom Egypt, the first integrated telecom operator in Egypt and one of the largest submarine cable operators in the Middle East and Africa region, signed an agreement with Google International, according to which transit services for Google's international traffic will be provided at the level of Internet protocols (IP Layer), which is the first of its kind in the field of Transit, through the Egyptian terrestrial international network for communications across the Egyptian territory. Under it, Google will obtain international capacities for Europe across the Mediterranean on the TE North submarine cable system owned by Telecom Egypt.

    Through this project, Telecom Egypt will provide the highest levels of protection for Google's data traffic through submarine cable landing stations on the Mediterranean and the Red Sea, which are linked to several land paths across Egyptian territory, where the network will redirect private international data traffic With Google from one path to another when required, with high flexibility and a high-speed interchangeability with a routing time not exceeding 50 milliseconds. In addition, Telecom Egypt is providing the highest levels of availability for Google's international transactional traffic with its SLA portal.

    For his part, Mark Sokol, Director of Infrastructure for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Google, said: We are pleased to sign this agreement with Telecom Egypt, which will enhance the levels of protection and superior availability of the international movement of Google's global network crossing the Arab Republic of Egypt from Asia to Europe, and we are also looking forward to more The fruitful and continuous cooperation between the two companies.
