The world-leading smart device brand OPPO, launches its latest smartphone in China, the Find X3 Pro, as it continues its expansion into the high-end Android market. The new addition to the Find X Series includes a futuristic high-end design, industry-leading display and excellent all-round camera system, all aimed at providing the best possible user experience.
The Find X3 Pro is the world’s first Android phone to capture, process and display one-billion color images, thanks to OPPO’s Full-path Color Management System. This innovation highlights the brand’s commitment to becoming the top Android phone manufacturer in the world.
Lie Liu, President of Global Marketing, CMO of Chinese Mainland at OPPO, said: “For the past 10 years OPPO has continually set trends, created benchmarks and surpassed industry standards with its Find X Series smartphones. OPPO’s designers and engineers pour the most innovative technologies and latest product design thinking into every one of our products. We want to empower our users with the capability to explore further and achieve more, and the Find X3 Pro embodies this spirit with stunning aesthetics and a human-centric user experience.”
Find X3 Pro sets a new standard in smartphone excellence with its billion-color capability. Featuring true billion color photography and display, impossibly-curved futuristic design, flagship Qualcomm® power and best-in-class VOOC Flash Charging technology. With a quad-camera system created to capture worlds within worlds, Find X3 Pro can record everything, from all-encompassing wide-angle landscapes to microscopic detail within detail.
“We’re excited to support OPPO as they launch their next generation flagship Find X3 Pro based on our latest Snapdragon 888 5G Mobile Platform,” said Alex Katouzian, SVP and President, Mobile, Compute, and Infrastructure, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. “Qualcomm Technologies and OPPO share a long-standing vision to deliver the best-in-class mobile experiences to consumers and the Find X3 Pro is designed to do just that.”
Pioneering marketing and collaborations
To bring incredible experiences to Find X3 Pro users, OPPO has invested in world-class collaborations. To ensure the phone sounds as good as it looks, Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer drew on years of powerful, emotive cinema compositions, to create new ringtones and notifications for the Find X3 Pro, inspired by the Find X Series’ spirit of human-centric innovation and exploration.
OPPO has unveiled the 2121 Future Photography Project, a photography campaign that invites OPPO users from around the world to send a message to the future, with image-led stories that they believe will resonate 100 years from now.
OPPO Global Brand Ambassador, Academy Award-winner Eddie Redmayne, will contribute his own images, shot on the Find X3 Pro. Redmayne will also feature in OPPO’s collaboration with National Geographic, alongside National Geographic Photographer Joel Sartore, who will curate an Endangered Color Campaign, using video and images shot on the Find X3 Pro.
OPPO has also announced a partnership with the National Geographic Society, to fund National Geographic Society work that supports endangered species through the Society’s Photo Ark initiative.
Human-centric technological innovation
OPPO has developed industry partnerships across every area of its diverse portfolio. The company will invest US $7 billion over three years for R&D, to develop new technologies and deepen its relationships with world-class technical partners. For example, the OPPO 5G Landing Project, which launched in early 2019, sees the company working with more than 80 operators to speed up 5G availability across the globe.
OPPO’s commitment to improve the lives of people around the world also underpins a new Flash Initiative with companies including FAW-Volkswagen, NXP Semiconductors and Anker licensing OPPO’s proprietary flash charge technology to bring faster, more convenient device charging to cars, public spaces, portable chargers and beyond.
OPPO’s growing fan base is attributed to its focus on human-centric technologies that improve the day-to-day lives of its users. In addition to color management and design, the Find X3 Pro’s ColorOS intelligent user interface allows each smartphone to be tailored to its users’ preferences - one of the reasons why ColorOS, based on Android, now has 400 million users globally.
The company has expanded its product portfolio beyond handsets into smart watches, earphones, and smart TVs. The Find X3 Pro launches soon after the announcement of OPPO’s 5G CPE, the T1—a turnkey device for the home, office and public spaces, which converts 5G signals into stable, super-fast Wi-Fi – and the 125W flash charger that can power a 4,000mAh phone battery in 20 minutes.
Rapid international growth
OPPO has built a strong foundation as one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in the world, shipping 33.8 million units in Q4 2020[1]—the fourth highest of any smartphone company (source: International Data Corporation). Its determination to be a global leader is showing results, as the company is now localized across more than 40 markets on five continents.
