Leading solar energy company and multi-utility enterprise KarmSolar appointed Nabil Kammoun as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer. Nabil has led a distinguished career marked by nearly two decades of experience in the Energy sector. Prior to joining KarmSolar, Nabil worked for Baker Hughes as Finance Director, where he led various verticals, geo-markets and regions including Europe, North Africa, North Gulf, MENATI and Africa. Before joining Baker Hughes, Nabil held various finance leadership roles within Shell Oil Company in North America and Africa.

“Nabil’s profile and experience will help KarmSolar with its governance and fund-raising strategies at a time when it aims to expand regionally. KarmSolar’s growth stage requires a high caliber of leadership to pave the way towards institutionalization. Nabil’s expertise and recognition within the energy sector encouraged the KarmSolar board to invite him to join the executive committee as we saw him as a perfect fit for our teams,” says Ahmed Zahran, KarmSolar CEO.

Assuming the role of CFO, Nabil will be leading on finance digitalization, implementation of a Governance Operating Model, and planning and executing the KarmSolar IPO.

Nabil will be leading the development of the KarmSolar investment, finance, and accounting departments, as well as the implementation of KarmSolar’s institutional investor; EDF Renewables’ global standards within the company’s operations and management.
