Telecom Egypt WE participates in sponsoring the “Our Heritage” exhibition for handicrafts and heritage

    Telecom Egypt “WE” announced its sponsorship of the “Our Heritage” Exhibition for Handicrafts and Heritage 2023, which launched its fifth session on Sunday, October 8, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo, with the participation of more than 1,000 male and female exhibitors from all governorates of the Republic, and its activities continue. Until October 14th.

    Telecom Egypt's sponsorship as a leading partner for the "Our Heritage" exhibition comes within the framework of the company's keenness to actively participate in supporting the development of craft and heritage industries in Egypt, which contributes to reducing the economic consequences of the developments that the world is witnessing on these industries, through cooperation between the company Telecom Egypt and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency.

    In its fifth session, the exhibition aims to open new markets for handicrafts and heritage crafts by expanding the organization of exhibitions and specialized events to promote these handicraft and heritage products and raise awareness of the importance of craft work. It also aims to protect rare Egyptian crafts from extinction, support their owners, develop their skills, market their products, and create distinguished opportunities for lovers of these crafts. Industries to learn about the latest developments and make their products available at competitive prices during the exhibition period.

    This edition of the exhibition witnesses the participation of six Arab countries, namely the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of the United Arab Emirates, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Algeria, and the State of Tunisia. This contributes to enhancing cooperation and common ties between Arab peoples, through sharing heritage cultures that express the authentic Arab identity, as well as encouraging intra-trade and regional economic integration among small business owners in these countries.

    Mohamed Abu Taleb, Executive Vice President for Commercial Affairs at Telecom Egypt (WE), expressed his happiness with the company’s sponsorship of the exhibition, stressing TE’s keenness to provide all aspects of support to owners of small and creative handicrafts to develop their businesses and provide multiple marketing outlets locally and internationally, which contributes to providing opportunities. Unique work and preserving the authentic heritage of rare artistic crafts that are distinguished by their cultural dimension that links the authentic arts of Egypt and its ancient civilizational history.
