QNET Brings HomePure and Water Sustainability into Focus at Cairo Water Week 2026

  • QNET, a global wellness and lifestyle-focused direct-selling company, participated in the ninth edition of Cairo Water Week 2026, held from 25 to 29 October under the patronage of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. This year's theme, “Water as a Catalyst for: Peace, Shared Prosperity, and a Sustainable Planet,” highlighted the importance of collaboration and innovation in addressing water-related challenges.

As part of its participation, QNET hosted a media roundtable exploring the connection between water, health, and sustainability. The session featured Dr. Mohamed Ali, Professor of Water Desalination and Treatment at the Desert Research Center, who shared expert insights into water quality, purification technologies, and the importance of selecting appropriate treatment solutions for household use. The discussion also explored the technology behind HomePure Nova Pi Plus, QNET's household water purification system.

HomePure Nova Pi Plus combines multiple filtration stages designed to address different types of impurities in household water. These include sediment filtration to remove larger particles, activated carbon filtration to reduce chlorine, odours, and certain organic substances, and an Ultra-Filtration Membrane (UltraTech 35+) designed to reduce bacteria and viruses while retaining beneficial minerals. The system operates without electricity, offering a convenient option for household water purification.

Hussam Kamel, Regional General Manager at QNET, said: “At QNET, we believe sustainability should be reflected in the solutions people use in their everyday lives. Technology and innovation can help make more informed choices possible, while encouraging more responsible consumption. Water is a particularly important area in which awareness, appropriate technologies, and collaboration across sectors can contribute to more sustainable practices.

“Having participated in Cairo Water Week for several years, we remain committed to engaging in dialogue around pressing water challenges and the role of practical solutions. Our participation also reflects our support for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 6 on clean water and sanitation. We believe the private sector has an important role to play in advancing innovation and contributing to more sustainable consumption.”

Dr. Mohamed Ali, Professor of Water Desalination and Treatment at the Desert Research Center, said: “Water quality is closely linked to health and quality of life. While large-scale water infrastructure plays a vital role in drinking water, it is also important to understand water quality at the point of use and the role that appropriate household treatment technologies can play.

“Multi-stage systems such as HomePure Nova Pi Plus integrate different filtration technologies within a single household unit, with each stage serving a specific function. Choosing an appropriate system requires an understanding of water quality, the contaminants that need to be addressed, and the capabilities of the technology being used. This highlights the importance of informed decisions when considering water treatment solutions for the home.”

Cairo Water Week is a regional platform that brings together government representatives, international organisations, researchers, technical experts, and private-sector stakeholders to exchange knowledge and explore approaches to sustainable water management. The event provides opportunities for dialogue on water-related challenges and the role of innovation, cooperation, and technology in addressing them.
