The National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) participated as an academic partner in the seventh Huawei ICT Recruitment Expo (HiRE 7), held at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) on October 26 and online on October 27. The Institute also won the Top Government Partner and Top Recruiter awards.

HiRE 7 was held under the auspices of the Ministries of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), Labor, and Higher Education and Scientific Research, and brought together 120 companies and employers. It aimed to connect Egyptian talent with labor market needs and turn the skills gained through training and capacity-building programs into real job opportunities, linking university graduates, job seekers, and recruiters.

The Expo featured success stories of Huawei ICT Academy graduates, introduced scholarships and training opportunities offered by partners, and included sessions where participants could engage with experts. Its online platform lets job seekers apply for available vacancies for one month.

An awards ceremony recognized leading recruiters, success partners, and university academies for their role in building skills and developing specialized talent.

NTI’s participation builds on a longstanding partnership with Huawei that pairs specialized training with hands-on application and international professional certifications. Through it, more than 2,000 trainers have been qualified and certified, and they have delivered training at over 190 Huawei Academies in Egyptian universities, reaching approximately 125 participants.

The partnership has also produced 7,000 graduates of the Egyptian Talents Academy (ETA) in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, cybersecurity, big data, and 5G networks. In addition, five specialized fiber-optic labs were set up within a dedicated academy for training technicians and engineers working on national projects.

MCIT’s support for the Expo reflects its partnerships with global technology leaders and its efforts to align training with labor market requirements, opening wider ICT job opportunities for young people.
