Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the Organization for Assisting Technology Development in Japan on enhancing cooperation in the field of digital inclusion for persons with disabilities and the development of a comprehensive society through the establishment of the Center of Excellence for Global Design and Assistive Technology at the National Academy for Information Technology For persons with disabilities, and cooperate in setting and implementing standards for global design and assistive technology, especially those that support the Arabic language, and to facilitate easy access to motion pictures and integration of persons Wei mental disabilities or cognitive or psychological - social.
Dr. Amr Talaat emphasized that this new partnership comes within the framework of empowering people with special needs and integrating them socially to become active members of society, noting that he looks forward to fruitful cooperation between the National Academy for Information Technology for Persons with Disabilities and the Organization for Assisting Technology Development in Japan to implement serious projects with added value It maximizes the capabilities of people with special needs.
For his part, Dr. Hiroshi Kawamura, Executive Vice President of the Auxiliary Technology Development Organization in Japan, explained that the memorandum of understanding signed today will contribute to developing cooperation opportunities between Egypt and Japan in the field of assistive technologies and digital inclusion for persons with disabilities, by establishing a center of excellence.
For its part, the memorandum of understanding was signed by Dr. Abeer Shaqwer, Advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Community Responsibility and Services and CEO of the National Academy for Information Technology for Persons with Disabilities, and Dr. Hiroshi Kawamura, Executive Vice President of the Organization for Assistive Technology Development in Japan, in the presence of a number of Japan Agency for International Cooperation (JICA) officials in Egypt.
