Huawei Egypt has officially launched the 5th edition of its flagship recruitment event, "HiRE" (Huawei Recruitment Expo), a leading platform designed to connect skilled talent in the field of ICT—especially those holding Huawei professional certifications like HCIA, HCIP, and HCIE—with job opportunities at both local and multinational companies.
Over the past five years, HiRE, held under the patronage of Egypt's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Ministry of Labour, in collaboration with the National Telecommunications Institute (NTI), has successfully facilitated thousands of job opportunities for young professionals. With its slogan, "Your Gateway to Tomorrow’s Industry," the expo continues to open new doors for youth in the ICT sector.
HiRE 5 was launched with strong support from recruitment union members and the active participation of 70 local, regional, and global companies. This reflects Huawei’s continued commitment to fostering strategic partnerships and enhancing youth capabilities within Egypt's ICT sector, in line with the country’s Vision 2030.
In this context, Mr. DOU Yong, Vice President of Huawei Technologies Egypt, remarked: "As Egypt undergoes rapid digital transformation, its youth represent a vital force driving the growth of the digital economy. Equipped with advanced digital skills and a forward-thinking vision, they are well-positioned to shape the future of technology and innovation on a global scale."
He added, “Over the past 25 years, Huawei has played a pivotal role in equipping Egyptian youth with the skills needed to excel in this fast-evolving sector. Through Huawei ICT Academies, in collaboration with governmental entities and both public and private universities across Egypt, we have established over 114 academies, trained more than 1,500 instructors by 23 experts from the NTI, and collectively enabled the training of over 40,000 young talent on cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, computing, networking, and more.”
Mr. Yong concluded by emphasizing that “HiRE” is a part of Huawei’s strategy to enhance the skills of Egyptian youth in the ICT sector. This strategy is implemented through Huawei’s ICT Talent Program (iTB), which consists of three main pillars; “Reach, Train, and Recruit” to fill the gap between the supply of talented engineers and the demand of the fast pace ICT job requirements and to empower Egypt’s next generation of innovators.
