The agreement was signed by Wang Hu, Chairman and CEO of China Mobile International, and Eng. Mohamed Nasr, Managing Director and CEO of Telecom Egypt. The agreement aims to optimize the two companies’ investments in submarine cable infrastructure and share their resources to meet the growing demand for data services from companies and individuals around the world. The partnership also includes a range of innovative enterprise-level digital and business services specifically designed to meet the evolving needs of organizations in Egypt and across the region.
The strategic agreement is an important step towards deepening the partnership between China Mobile International, a wholly owned subsidiary of China Mobile, known globally for having the largest telecommunications network and serving the largest customer base, in addition to its leadership in terms of profitability indicators, brand value and market ranking, and Telecom Egypt, the leading provider of telecommunications and information technology services in Egypt and one of the largest submarine cable operators in the region.
This international infrastructure commercial agreement is one of the key elements of this partnership, as it focuses on expanding the scope of the two companies’ work around the world and enhances their joint commitment to providing more reliable and high-quality international telecommunications services. It also contributes to enhancing the diversity and flexibility of the two companies’ networks by adding new paths across their cable systems, ensuring the provision of more reliable telecommunications services.
