INTERNATIONAL WORKPLACE GROUP ADDS TWO NEW REGUS CENTERS IN CAIRO TO MEET THE RISING DEMAND FOR HYBRID AND PLATFORM WORKING IN EGYPT

    International Workplace Group, the world's largest hybrid workspace platform with brands including Spaces and Regus, is opening two new state-of-the-art flexible workspace in Cairo’s Citadel Plaza and Majaz Mall. With the long-term shift to more flexible ways of working, IWG is expanding its network to keep pace with rising demand for flexible workspaces across Egypt.

    The addition of International Workplace Group’s latest locations comes on the heels of the business posting its highest-ever revenue, cashflow and earnings growth in its history and achieving rapid network growth, signing 899 new centres to its network since January 2024 and opening 624 new workspaces.

    The new Regus centre at Citadel Plaza is uniquely situated at the heard of Old Cairo, opposite to famous Salahuddin Citadel, while Regus Majaz Mall caters to the growing need for flexible locations in West Cairo. The new openings are part of a drive by IWG to meet the sharply rising demand for top class flexible working space in the region.

    Set to open in June 2025, the locations will provide 1,500 square meters of space for established firms and start-ups across a range of industries, while IWG’s Design Your Own Office service allows companies to tailor their space entirely to their requirements. The new locations will include facilities including private offices, meeting rooms, co-working and creative spaces.

    The building owners decided to invest in the IWG platform to maximise the return on their real estate space by capitalising on the rapidly expanding demand for hybrid working.

    Research by leading academics has found that flexibility in working patterns offers a multitude of benefits for employees, including enhanced work-life balance, financial savings and health benefits. Employers also reap the rewards of hybrid models through increased firm productivity, cost savings and a more efficient, engaged workforce.

    With explosive market growth as companies of all sizes adopt hybrid working for the long-term, it is predicted that 30% of all commercial real estate will be flexible workspace by 2030.     Recent research from IWG also showed that amid ongoing economic uncertainty, C-suite executives are turning towards hybrid work models to navigate economic uncertainty and maintain employee engagement and retention. The results showed that 83% say hybrid working is crucial to their cost-saving efforts, and 77% report significant reductions in overheads, increased employee productivity, improved satisfaction, and greater flexibility to explore new business locations.

    As the ongoing shift towards hybrid working accelerates, the potential for further growth is exponential with an estimated 1.2 billion white collar workers globally and a total addressable market of more than $2 trillion. In 2024, International Workplace Group welcomed 899 new partner locations and counts 83 per cent of Fortune 500 companies among its customer base.
