Mountain View Foundation celebrated Egyptian Paralympic star Ahmed Moamen in a special ceremony, honoring his impressive silver medal win in the +107 kg category at the Junior Paralympic Weightlifting World Championship, marking another milestone in the Foundation’s enduring support for the world-class athlete.
Ahmed Moamen’s journey began in 2022 when the Foundation spotted his talent through its flagship “Discovering Heroes” program, designed to uncover and develop exceptional athletes across Egypt. Since then, the Foundation has championed his growth, providing continuous sponsorship and support to help him shine on both national and international stages, reinforcing its commitment to empowering young Egyptians and helping them in all aspects.
The honoring ceremony was attended by Eng. Amr Soliman, Founder and Executive Chairman of Mountain View for Development and Real Estate Investment Major General Abu Bakr El-Gendy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mountain View Foundation, members of the Foundation, and Mohamed Idris, CEO of Sports Legends, strategic partner in the program, which played a pivotal role in training and preparing Ahmed Moamen for international competitions, supporting the development of Egyptian athletes according to the highest global standards.
During the event, Ahmed Moamen received a financial award in recognition of his international success, underscoring Mountain View Foundation’s dedication to developing exceptional athletes and championing sports as a catalyst for ambition, resilience, and character in youth.
Major General Abu Bakr El-Gendy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mountain View Foundation, stated, “Supporting athletic champions is part of our social responsibility and our mission to nurture promising Egyptian talents. Honoring Ahmed Moamen marks the beginning of a series of initiatives aimed at supporting and developing young Egyptians across various sectors.”
For his part, Mohamed Idris, CEO of Sports Legends, a strategic partner in the program, said, ” We are thrilled to partner with Mountain View Foundation on the ‘Discovering Heroes’ program. This affirms our commitment to continue supporting talented athletes and encouraging them to achieve greater accomplishments.”
Launched in 2022, the “Discovering Heroes” program is dedicated to nurturing Egypt’s young talents, fostering creativity, and providing holistic support, social, economic, and healthcare, for them and their families, in partnership with the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Ministry of Education and Technical Education.
The Junior Paralympic Weightlifting World Championship took place at Al-Nady Club in the New Administrative Capital from 9–18 October. Egypt’s national team secured third place in the overall medal standings for both individual and team events, winning a total of 7 medals: 2 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze
