Raya Holding announced today a strategic partnership with the TriFactory to support and grow rowing in Egypt, with a particular focus on indoor rowing, as part of its broader commitment to investing in people, health, and community development.
This partnership marks the launch of Raya Rows, a national initiative designed to elevate rowing in Egypt, making it more accessible, engaging, and widely practiced. Beyond community participation, the initiative also focuses on supporting professional athletes through structured programs that enable them to train, compete, and excel.
Through a series of activations, collaborations, and national events, Raya is building a platform that brings rowing closer to everyday life, while creating a pathway for athletes to grow within the sport. This is just the beginning, with plans to expand into larger-scale platforms, including series of flagship events and championships.
As an investment company operating across diverse sectors, Raya Holding continues to expand its impact beyond business by supporting initiatives that promote healthier, more active communities. The company views sports as a powerful platform for fostering discipline, resilience, and long-term personal growth.
"At Raya, we believe sports shape the values that shape the future," said Ahmed Khalil, Group CEO of Raya Holding. By championing rowing and broadening access to it, Raya hopes to pass those values on to the next generation of Egyptians.
This cause is deeply personal to me. As a former rower, I know how the sport forges discipline, sharpens focus, and builds resilience. I want more people to experience that transformation.
Rowing engages 85% of the body, demanding both physical endurance and mental consistency, yet it remains one of Egypt's most overlooked sports. That's something we intend to change. Rowing is woven into our history, tracing back to Ancient Egypt, and we are proud to carry that legacy forward."
“We’re very proud to enter into this new partnership with Raya Holding, which promises to have a major impact on the sport of rowing in Egypt. The TriFactory has expanded its sports event portfolio over the past 10 years, and we are excited about this opportunity to join forces with one of Egypt’s most important companies and to officially start organizing rowing races,” said Ayman Hakky, Founder & CEO of The TriFactory.
Through this partnership with the TriFactory, a leading sports event organizer in Egypt, Raya will introduce a series of indoor rowing championships and activations, including a flagship event that aims to position rowing as a mainstream sport in the country. The initiative will also focus on supporting local athletes, providing them with greater visibility and opportunities to grow within the sport.
By combining Raya’s investment vision with the TriFactory’s expertise in sports events and community engagement, the partnership aims to establish a long-term platform that drives participation, builds awareness, and contributes to a healthier, more active society.
This initiative represents a significant step in Raya Holding’s broader strategy to create impact beyond its core business operations reinforcing its belief that investing in people is key to sustainable growth.
