In parallel with the State’s efforts to assist the neediest people in
overcoming the COVID-19 crisis, Orange Egypt decided to extend its
support and efforts it started before the month of Ramadan in
cooperation with Misr El Kheir Foundation by launching a new
initiative to provide food supplies to thousands of Egyptian families
during the holy month of Ramadan. The new initiative is part of Orange
continuous efforts to support the Egyptian families amid the
coronavirus outbreak and its critical repercussions on jobs and
businesses for the irregular daily workers.
Accordingly, Orange is contributing to supply thousands of families
with disinfectants and sanitizers along with food supplies to help
them take all the needed preventive measures and continue to earn
their living while taking into account that these disinfectants are
essential in the current time and can serve as protective shields
against the infection of COVID-19 virus.
The food distribution process is scheduled to cover 17 governorates in
Egypt where the first phase will include cities of Aswan, Luxor,
Halayeb, Qena and Beni Suef.
It’s worth mentioning that Orange Egypt launches diversified
initiatives and campaigns as part of its corporate social
responsibility activities towards the neediest groups of the society
to provide them with financial, moral, economic, social and health
support. These initiatives come in cooperation with the largest
charitable foundations with a long history in this regard. In
addition, the company also collaborates with the governmental bodies
working in this field and most importantly the Ministry of Social
Solidarity and the Ministry of Health to support in several activities
that better serve the community.
