The company’s total investments exceed about 90 million pounds. One billion pounds to develop the mobile communications and Internet market in line with global developments in this field.
This came during the activities of the press conference organized by the company at its headquarters in the Smart Village to announce that it had won the award for the best mobile network in Egypt in serving high-speed landline Internet customers during the current year from the German company “OMLOD”, which specializes in measuring the quality of the performance of telephone operators globally, as it It received a score of 702 out of a total of 1000 scores to evaluate the performance of mobile network operators, in the presence of Caitlin Bulega, Vice President of Vodafone Egypt for the Networks and Technology Sector, and May Yassin, Head of the External Communications and Sustainability Department at Vodafone Egypt.
The massive urban expansion taking place in Egypt and the construction of many new cities and the road network represent a major challenge for us to the Vodafone network to ensure the availability of all communications and Internet services to users, whether companies, individuals or government institutions, as communications infrastructure is the backbone of comprehensive and sustainable economic development.
For his part, Caitlin Bulega, Vodafone Egypt’s Vice President for the Networks and Technology Sector, said in response to a question from “Digital World” that the “Omlot” company relies on measuring the performance of mobile networks as a whole without focusing on a specific element, explaining that the German company collected call samples over the course of a year. 6 months, in the period from August 2023 until February 2024, before issuing its results, which makes the results of “OMLOD” measurements the most accurate compared to other companies that rely on real-time measurement of telecommunications and Internet services.
Vodafone added: “Egypt is the first network in the field of establishing fourth generation stations for wireless communications services, and we are continuing to expand the network to ensure geographical coverage across the Egyptian market, although the introduction of fifth generation services represents a natural development for our communications network, which of course will reflect positively on Raising the level of service and improving performance for the network as a whole.
