    Dr. Mohamed Al-Farran, Director of Partnerships and Marketing at the Innovators and Brilliant Support Fund (ISF) at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, confirmed that supporting and encouraging innovators is the most important axes of the new strategy launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Practical Research in 2023, as it pays great attention to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, and spreading... Their culture, and conducting applied research aimed at finding innovative solutions to the challenges facing the various sectors in Egypt, by establishing a scientific and technological base that produces knowledge and is capable of innovation, has an international standing, and pushes the knowledge-based national economy to continuous progress, in order to achieve sustainable development.

    During the event, Dr. Mohamed Al-Farran praised the participation of 25 startup companies from Thebes University of Technology and Luxor University in the Startup Olympiad organized by the Fund during the current year, which reflects the keenness of the two universities to enhance the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among their students, and to support them to transform their innovative ideas into real projects on the ground. reality.

    Dr. Muhammad Al-Farran announced the upcoming events of the Startup Olympiad during his participation in the session on digital innovation and entrepreneurship and the role of state institutions and community initiatives in supporting the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, and providing valuable insights on how to help young entrepreneurs develop their emerging projects.

    Al-Farran explained that India has succeeded in localizing the information technology industry and the volume of its technological exports has reached about 120 billion dollars annually, and Egypt can double the value of its exports from the information technology industry in addition to attracting hundreds of millions of foreign investments by spreading the culture of entrepreneurship and building a large base of qualified and specialized personnel in The field of technology, which possesses modern digital skills.
