Cairo Festival City Mall on Track to Reach 49 New and Renovated Store Openings by End of 2024

Cairo Festival City Mall, owned and operated by Al-Futtaim Real Estate, is enhancing and diversifying its tenant mix to cater to evolving customer preferences, solidifying its position as the ultimate destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment.
Currently, Cairo Festival City Mall is a vibrant hub featuring 290 stores across a diverse range of sectors. The mall boasts 12 dynamic entertainment venues, 118 high-fashion retailers, 81 delightful food and beverage establishments, and 20 chic home furnishing and accessories stores, among other offerings. By the end of 2024, CFC Mall aims to have a total of 49 new and renovated stores. The initiative aligns with their strategic growth plan, not only enhancing the mall’s offerings but also significantly contributing to job creation, generating hundreds of employment opportunities across various sectors.
Tamer Fouda, Director of Asset Management, Al Futtaim Real Estate, Egypt, stated, “The introduction of new brands are pivotal in elevating the shopping experience at CFC Mall. Attracting over 20 million visitors per year, our diverse offerings span fashion, sports, entertainment, and dining sectors. By the end of 2024, our goal is to open and have a total of 49 new and renovated stores, with a particular focus on fashion."
He added, “Each new store is intended to enrich the overall experience for our visitors, thus, delivering on our commitment to providing an exclusive yet inclusive environment for shoppers in New Cairo, as well as setting a new standard in retail excellence.”
The Mall has solidified its reputation as a destination for premium brands in Egypt by introducing a mix of international, regional, and local names. Recent additions, such as Furla, Illy Café, Amorino, and Under Armour, which have chosen CFC Mall as the launchpad for their exclusive expansions in Egypt during the last quarter, further underscore its appeal. This growing roster of esteemed brands, including Karl Lagerfeld, Love Moschino, and Sandro, as well as luxury multi-brand concept stores like dstore and Maje, highlights CFC Mall’s allure to international brands eager to establish a foothold in Egypt.
Kicking off this quarter, CFC Mall celebrated the grand opening of JD Sports’ first branch in Africa. As a leading global omnichannel retailer of sports fashion and outdoor brands, JD Sports, established in 1981, is present in 38 countries through 3,400 stores. The new store at CFC Mall spans 619m² and features renowned names like Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Puma, and Converse. By housing multiple popular sportswear brands under one roof, JD Sports offers customers a wide variety of choices, including exclusive releases and limited-edition items not available in individual brand stores. This opening aligns with CFC Mall’s strategic vision to elevate its tenant mix and offer an unparalleled shopping experience for its visitors.
In 2023, CFC Mall celebrated 15 store openings and aims to surpass these achievements this year.
