Storm successfully concluded its participation in GITEX Global 2025 by sealing a series of new strategic partnerships and agreements with a total value exceeding AED 200 million, reaffirming its position as one of the region’s leading players in distribution, e-commerce, and consumer electronics.
Majed Moneir, Founder and CEO of Storm, described this year’s participation as “fruitful and strategically impactful on all fronts,” noting that the company forged new alliances with several regional partners to strengthen its presence across the Maghreb and African markets, as part of its ambitious expansion roadmap from its regional hub in Dubai’s Free Trade Zone.
“Our participation in GITEX this year marked a qualitative leap in collaboration with our regional partners,” said Moneir. “We laid the foundations for new long-term partnerships that support our vision of sustainable expansion and balanced growth across emerging markets.”
Strategic Expansion into the Maghreb and African Markets
Moneir highlighted that Storm’s next phase will focus on expanding its footprint in Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Sudan, Ethiopia, and Cameroon — markets he described as “promising and full of untapped opportunities for growth and development.”
He emphasized the company’s strategy of building robust local partnerships in each market to ensure deep market understanding, efficient product distribution, and high-quality after-sales service — a key factor behind the company’s sustained success in African markets.
“We believe that brand strength lies not only in the product itself but also in the ecosystem of distribution, support, and service surrounding it,” Moneir added. “That’s why we focus on creating long-term partnerships that generate real value in every market where we operate.”
Leadership in Electronics Distribution
Moneir reaffirmed Storm’s status as a trusted regional partner for leading global brands including HONOR, Samsung, Apple, Oppo, Xiaomi, Realme, and Infinix. The company manages the regional trade and distribution operations for these brands, ensuring the availability of genuine, high-quality products at competitive prices across its target markets.
He noted that smartphones remain one of the fastest-growing sectors in emerging markets, with Storm committed to offering integrated solutions that combine efficient distribution with exceptional customer service.
Ambitious Investment Vision for 2026
Looking ahead, Moneir revealed that Storm plans to inject new investments in 2026 to support its regional expansion, open new offices across the Maghreb and African markets, and broaden its network of local partners.
“We’re gearing up for GITEX 2026 with a more advanced vision and a wider portfolio of global brands and electronic products,” he said. “Storm is evolving toward a more integrated and sustainable business model that reflects our long-term commitment to innovation and growth.”
“At Storm, we don’t just build businesses — we build ecosystems of collaboration that create opportunities for growth and innovation across the region,” Moneir concluded. “Our goal is to contribute meaningfully to the ongoing economic and technological transformation in Africa and the Maghreb.”
