The Chamber of Technology (CIT) is promoting the regional expansion of technology companies during GITEX Global Dubai 2025.

  • With the signing of strategic partnerships, awards, and deals worth $54 million:

    With the accelerating technological development as a strategic core for the transition to a knowledge economy, a delegation from the Chamber of Information and Communications Technology (CIT), sponsor of the digital industry, was keen to participate in GITEX Global 2025, which was recently held at the Dubai World Trade Center.

     

    A number of Egyptian technology companies participated and were present, as exhibitors, participants, and visitors, among more than 6,800 companies from 180 countries, in addition to 2,000 startups, including eight Egyptian startups, to showcase the latest technologies in the fields of artificial intelligence, biotechnology, quantum computing, smart cities, cybersecurity, 5G technologies, and electronics.     Egyptian technology companies participating in the exhibition succeeded in concluding several commercial deals worth $54 million. Storm, a company specializing in mobile and electronics technology, concluded a number of new partnerships and contracts. The company asserted that this year's participation was "fruitful and strategic at all levels." The company also entered into new cooperation agreements with several regional partners to strengthen its presence in the Maghreb and African markets, as part of an ambitious expansion plan being implemented by the company from its regional center in the Dubai Free Trade Zone. Digital Plants, an Egyptian company specializing in digital solutions and services, also announced the signing of a partnership agreement with SonicWALL, a global company specializing in cybersecurity solutions, to offer its solutions and the latest security technologies to combat cyber threats in the Middle East. TestFlow AI, an Egyptian AI startup, also won the Deeb Tech & Award at the Expand North Technology Startup Exhibition, held in conjunction with GITEX Dubai 2025. This is a major achievement and a strong signal that demonstrates the ability of Egyptian startups to innovate in the semiconductor sector and even compete globally.

    Technological Partnership Opportunities

    For his part, Engineer Khaled Ibrahim, Chairman of the Chamber of Information and Communications Technology (CIT), emphasized that this visit comes within the Chamber's vision to build an integrated system to help Egyptian technology companies open new foreign markets for their products and enhance their role in the digital transformation process of institutions in the Gulf region, both governmental and private. It also aims to identify opportunities for partnerships and joint investment in the field of technology and provide the latest technological solutions that Egyptian technology companies have successfully implemented. Developing it.

    He added that the Gulf market is a promising market for Egyptian technology products, especially as all governments in the region are embracing the digital transformation process to implement the concept of "smart government" and launching several ambitious national initiatives to build independent national infrastructures for artificial intelligence. In light of the strong and historical relations between Egypt and the Gulf region, we hope that Egyptian technology companies will play a tangible role in providing the latest technological solutions based on artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and cloud computing.

    Ibrahim indicated that the Chamber's delegation aimed to open horizons for technological cooperation, identify mechanisms for promoting Egyptian technology solutions, build new alliances, and support commercial partnerships between Egyptian technology companies and their counterparts in the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region through agent and distributor agreements for Egyptian technology products. He also expressed the Chamber's readiness to sponsor any agreements or partnerships signed between Egyptian companies and their Gulf counterparts with confident steps and a genuine partnership.

    Promoting Innovation

    For his part, Ahmed El-Sobky, a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Information and Communications Technology (CIT), who headed the Chamber's delegation, confirmed that a meeting was held with Representatives of the Arab Union for Communication and Information Technology (AUCIT) met in preparation for a cooperation agreement to be signed next November. The agreement aims to promote innovation, knowledge, and sustainable development in the Arab world by providing advanced software solutions, advanced training programs, and strategic initiatives in the fields of technology, education, and human development.

    He added, "We are working to raise awareness about the technological products and services that Egyptian technology companies excel at and can export to the UAE market in particular and the Gulf market in general through participation in such international exhibitions. GITEX Global is one of the largest exhibitions in the world specializing in information and communications technology (ICT). All global technology companies are keen to showcase their latest technologies and future developments in the field of digital transformation."

    Al-Sobky explained that the visit aimed to explore export opportunities in the Gulf ICT market, which has strong growth prospects, while exploring opportunities for technological and commercial cooperation between the two countries, as well as opportunities for Egyptian companies to participate in the digital transformation process.
