With opening Carrefour Gourmet store ;Majid Al Futtaim Retail’s total investment in Egypt is EGP 2.3 billion to date

    - Carrefour currently operates 59 stores across Egypt, 14 of which are hypermarkets and 45 supermarkets with 7 hypermarkets and supermarkets opened in 2021

    Carrefour, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim in Egypt, has announced the opening of its first Gourmet store in the region at Downtown Katameya, Fifth Settlement 
     
     
    The new concept store aims to provide the Egyptian community with a premium experience by offering exclusive, artisanal products and seamless services  
     
     
    The store offers a diverse selection of up to 7,000 products on display, from fresh food to gourmet items – all at a competitive price point 
     
     
    In addition to the store’s extensive product offerings, it is also the first Carrefour store in the country to introduce advanced technologies, such as the self-checkout systems, to ensure speed and efficiency for a convenient customer experience 
     
    In alignment with Majid Al Futtaim’s pledge to eliminate plastic use across all its supermarkets and hypermarkets by 2025, Carrefour Gourmet takes its first steps towards sustainability by introducing biodegradable shopping bags
