The Egyptian Acting Professions Syndicate, headed by Dr. Ashraf Zaki, has signed a partnership with SOKNA - the Egypt-based company offering end-to-end funeral services to honor the deceased and ease the process for their families - to be the exclusive funeral service provider for all syndicate members.

Exclusively entrusting SOKNA with all necessary funeral services, the partnership works on providing syndicate members with services including burial permits and legal paperwork, body preparation, cemetery setup, transportation (to prayer and cemetery locations), hall bookings, obituaries, personalized Sadaqah Jariyah and giveaways, repatriation, as well as funeral Pre-Planning services, with the aim of honoring the lives of those who brought joy to society.

SOKNA will also tailor the funeral service needs to accommodate what is required to handle the funerals of national icons. This includes providing high-quality service, a high level of organization, and SOKNA's well-equipped fleet and highly skilled team.

Head of the Egyptian Acting Professions Syndicate, Dr. Ashraf Zaki, said, “We are very proud to be partnering with SOKNA and bringing all the benefits of their services to our esteemed members of the syndicate.” He added, “We share the same views regarding the importance of honoring our deceased, and making the entire process as smooth and trouble-free as possible for the families and loved ones, and none understand this better than the SOKNA team.”

Actress Nihal Anbar, Syndicate Member and Head of the Medical File, said, “SOKNA’s professionalism and attention to detail is unmatched, and their impressive level of service has been proven time and time again. This has been particularly evident in the funerals of the late Samir Sabry, Soheir El Bably, Aida Abdelaziz, Jala Fahmy, Zaki Fatein Abdelwahab, and many other icons SOKNA helped us honor.”

“It brings us great pride to officialize such a partnership with the Egyptian Acting Professions Syndicate. We seek to provide its members with an honorable service that accounts for the special needs and requirements of artists and public figures, such as the level of organization, our high level of efficiency, and the safety and comfort of family, friends, and all attendees,” said Ahmed Gaballah, Founder and CEO of SOKNA.

“At SOKNA, our mission is to honor our loved ones, while making sure people are not consumed by physical and logistical inconveniences when dealing with grief, that’s why we launched our Pre-Planning program where people can decide on the type of service they would like to receive when the time comes, so that families can have peace of mind and focus on the memories and legacies of their loved ones,” added Gaballah.

Since launching in 2020, SOKNA has built operational partnerships with more than 20 hospitals and corporates in Greater Cairo alone, has amassed more than 70 partner vendors and has performed more than 3,000 funerals. The company’s mission is to look after every logistical detail from the moment of loss with expertise and compassion, allowing family members the peace of mind to focus on what matters most: honoring the lives of their loved ones.
