    Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, held an extensive meeting with a group of young entrepreneurs, independent professionals, and trainees at the Ismailia Digital Egypt Creativity Center “Cretiva” at its headquarters at Suez Canal University, which was established to support technological innovation, entrepreneurship, and build the digital capabilities of the youth of Ismailia Governorate by supporting... Entrepreneurs and owners of startup companies, qualifying the governorate’s youth for the future of the labor market, building a community of independent professionals, and supporting the Ismailia community to become a digital community, in the presence of Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University.

    The Ismailia Digital Egypt Innovation Center has provided its services so far to more than 28,000 beneficiaries of entrepreneurs and young people, including students and graduates of Suez Canal University and the people of Ismailia Governorate. About 13,000 trainees have benefited in the fields of creativity, entrepreneurship, self-employment, professional development, digital transformation, and so on. 6,000 beneficiaries of the shared workspaces located at the center, and more than 90 startup companies and projects by entrepreneurs benefited from the business incubators, including 8 startups who were provided with full incubation services.

    The establishment of the Digital Egypt Creativity Center “Cretiva” in Ismailia comes within the plan of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to establish a center in each governorate, where 20 centers have been established so far, and it is targeted to establish 6 more during the current year.

    In his speech during the meeting: The Minister of Communications and Information Technology praised the diverse and distinguished models he witnessed of students and youth joining the ministry’s initiatives at the Ismailia Digital Egypt Creativity Center, as well as the success stories of young creatives and entrepreneurs, as well as independent professionals from the center’s graduates who received training and succeeded in exporting services. digital out; Pointing out that what he witnessed represents a true dedication to the idea of human development and human building, and an emphasis on the fact that Egyptian youth excel when they are given the opportunity to learn and receive knowledge and creativity.

    Dr. Amr Talaat confirmed that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology will continue its efforts to work on building people and developing digital capabilities during the coming period, noting that the goal of establishing Digital Egypt Innovation Centers is to spread the culture of entrepreneurship and self-employment in all governorates. He added that Cretiva Ismailia provides services to support emerging companies in terms of providing technical, economic and marketing training to entrepreneurs, expressing his confidence that all the success stories he witnessed at Cretiva Ismailia will become inspiring models in the future.

     

    Talaat: Telecom Egypt will remain owned by the state and its role is strategic in the digital transformation process

    Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, confirmed that Telecom Egypt will remain the state company and will not be relinquished or sold, and that it serves as the backbone of the communications infrastructure of the Egyptian state. He directed praise to all the company’s employees for their efforts to develop the various services that are provided, whether to the communications and Internet sector or to institutions.     This came during the inauguration of Sultan Hussein Central in Ismailia Governorate, as part of the inauguration of a number of projects of the Presidential Initiative “A Decent Life,” in the presence of Major General Staff Sherif Bishara, Governor of Ismailia, as well as Mohamed Nasr, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the Egyptian Telecom Company, and a number of the company’s leaders.
