Hassan: Egypt is qualified to attract a billion dollars in foreign investment in emerging technology companies

    Journalist Khaled Hassan, editor-in-chief of Digital World newspaper, confirmed that Egypt has succeeded in attracting about $850 million during the year 2022 in foreign investments in emerging technology companies to occupy the third largest in the Middle East region, explaining that a project is being implemented to spread Egypt’s digital innovation centers in the governorates. “Cretiva” "Creative" ; The first phase of the project included the completion of the establishment of seven centers, while the second phase aims to establish 12 other centers, while the third phase aims to establish 8 other centers, reaching about 27 centers, one in each university, at a total cost exceeding 5.8 billion pounds for the three phases, indicating Digital Egypt Creativity Centers are being deployed in the governorates to provide technical training and support technological creativity and entrepreneurship for students and graduates, and to provide an appropriate environment to stimulate innovators.

    Supporting innovative ideas and promoting digital creativity is one of the most important axes on which the Egyptian state’s digital transformation strategy currently focuses, which is adopted and implemented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in order to develop and provide new technological solutions capable of confronting societal problems and achieving a strong impetus for the comprehensive economic development process.
