The Cassava Group, a technology powerhouse headquartered in the UK, proudly introduces its latest venture into artificial intelligence (AI) technology with the launch of Cassava AI. Leading this new chapter is the esteemed engineer, Ahmed El-Beheiry, who steps into the role of CEO.

Bringing a wealth of experience to his new position, El- Beheiry transitions from his previous role as CEO of Telecom Egypt to spearhead this innovative endeavor within the Cassava Group. His appointment marks a significant milestone in the group's expansion into AI technology and applications.

Cassava Group, established by African entrepreneur Strive Masiyiwa, boasts a global presence across more than forty countries, including key markets in the United States, South America, Europe, Africa, the UAE, and India. The conglomerate's diverse portfolio encompasses communication networks, data centers, cloud technology, cybersecurity, renewable energy, and financial technology.

Commenting on the launch of Cassava AI, Strive Masiyiwa shared his long-standing passion for AI, dating back to 2014. He expressed his unwavering enthusiasm for the potential of AI, reminiscent of the pioneering spirit that fueled his earlier ventures in mobile communications and commercial enterprises.

Operating under a business-to-business (B2B) model, Cassava AI is geared towards providing cutting-edge AI solutions to a wide range of businesses, from large corporations to small enterprises and public sector entities. Leveraging partnerships with industry giants like Microsoft, Google, Amazon Web Services, and Oracle, as well as collaborations with emerging startups such as Anthropic, Atlas AI, Cerebras, and Palo Alto Networks, the unit aims to deliver comprehensive AI products and services.

With El- Beheiry at the helm, Cassava AI is set to empower businesses in harnessing the capabilities of AI technology. In addition to offering established tech solutions, the unit will develop bespoke AI offerings through application programming interfaces (APIs), tailored to meet the unique needs of enterprise clients.

El- Beheiry 's professional journey is marked by a trajectory of leadership roles in prominent tech companies. His career highlights include positions at Alcatel-Lucent, Mobinil (now Orange), and founding ventures like TeleComics Investment and Development Group and Fikra Investments, where he championed technological advancements in Africa's infrastructure and energy sectors.

A distinguished alumnus of Alexandria University, El- Beheiry holds a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications Engineering, complemented by a Master's degree in Mobile Communications Engineering and an MBA from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology in collaboration with the University of Rennes.

As Cassava AI embarks on this transformative initiative under Ahmed El- Beheiry 's guidance, the Cassava Group reinforces its commitment to driving innovation and excellence in the realm of artificial intelligence.
