Abu Dhabi Digital Authority Launched Artificial Intelligence Initiative in Cooperation with IBM

    As part of its efforts to foster a culture of innovation and knowledge, Abu Dhabi Digital Authority, in collaboration with IBM, announced the launch of the Artificial Intelligence Initiative, which aims to organize training courses for government entities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Scientific and practical skills in the fields of artificial intelligence in order to enhance the emirate's leadership in the field of emerging technology and the application of the best international standards and practices.

    The training courses are part of the activation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in advance between the Authority and IBM, and the promotion of strategic partnerships between the two parties, in accordance with a clear vision and methodology based on the preparation of a generation capable of the language of the age, as well as providing the expertise, knowledge and tools to be used in the fields Artificial intelligence, thus contributing to building a digital economy based on state-of-the-art technology.

    As of June this year, registration has been opened for all government agencies in the Emirate to participate in a series of training courses in which the experts will review the basics of artificial intelligence technology in order to enhance awareness of emerging technology and improve the capabilities of cadres and build the capabilities and talents of government capable of investing technology in developing the efficiency of government work. .

    As part of its joint initiative with IBM, Abu Dhabi Digital Authority held a number of interactive workshops and discussion sessions. Artificial intelligence experts reviewed a number of practical applications that rely on artificial intelligence. In line with the Abu Dhabi Government's leadership in emerging technology, especially artificial intelligence applications.

    The first phase of the training sessions started with the participation of 13 government entities in the Emirate, including Abu Dhabi Executive Office, Education and Knowledge Department, Health Department, Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, Community Development Service, Culture and Tourism Department, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, Al Ain, the General Organization of the Zoo and Aquatic Animals of Al Ain, the Social Welfare and Minors Affairs Foundation, the Presidential Airport and the Statistics Center - Abu Dhabi.

    Dr Rawda Al Saadi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADA), said: "These qualitative initiatives are part of our strategy to focus on investing in the human element by proposing effective plans and programs to build capacity and innovative talents and enhance skills. In coordination with the relevant authorities.

     

    She added that the Authority works in cooperation with its partners to support and apply modern technologies and innovative future solutions in order to build a generation of qualified national cadres capable of serving the nation and ensuring its leadership in all aspects of life. She added that the Authority is keen to strengthen long-term partnerships with the private sector to benefit from innovative ideas and exchange best practices through agreements and memoranda of understanding, new partnerships related to information and communication technology, and identification of government entities and companies that benefit from the services available under these agreements and partnerships.

    This initiative supports the artificial intelligence strategy of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi by working together with various government agencies to reach innovative solutions in this field. The training courses are expected to raise awareness of the artificial intelligence of Abu Dhabi government employees and improve decision-making mechanisms to reach innovative solutions in artificial intelligence to support and develop all government sectors in the emirate.

    The Memorandum of Understanding signed in advance with IBM provides for the establishment of the Center for Excellence in Artificial Intelligence in Abu Dhabi and involves cooperation in a number of areas, including focusing on exploring the most important opportunities for enhancing the efficiency of government work based on solutions Artificial Intelligence in line with Emirates' Artificial Intelligence Strategy, which aims to enhance government performance at all levels; and focus on the implementation of the Artificial Intelligence Enabling Program for Abu Dhabi Government employees, which will include a variety of technical and non-technical staff contributions on artificial intelligence.
