In the framework of the EU-funded project El-Hiwar II, the College of Europe Executive Education, Training Projects Office organised an online Policy Dialogue on Digital Opportunities.
This event aimed at contrasting the debates and priorities in the Arab region and those in the EU. It also aimed to specifically look into three areas: (1) inclusivity, particularly taking into account the long-lasting effects of the pandemic; (2) smart cities and digital infrastructure development and (3) artificial intelligence.
This event consisted of a series of online roundtable discussions amongst a group of officials from the EU and League of Arab States and its specialised institutions, researchers, business communities, civil society organisations, as well as partnering regional and international institutions.
El-Hiwar II: Training and Information Course on Euro-Arab Diplomacy, is a project funded by DG NEAR and implemented by the College of Europe. It is conceived as a dialogue tool for the EU and the LAS to support strengthened work relations and to learn about each other's functioning, mechanisms and policies.
